Two-phase fluid flow is the dominant phenomenon in petroleum reservoirs. The physics of this flow is vital for better well planning, forecasting and production. The purpose of this study is nodal heterogeneity and end effect on immiscible two-component single phase flow in quadrant model. Both permeability and wettability heterogeneity are examined by numerical method. By waterflooding in permeability contrast model, by pass zone, viscous fingering pattern and nodal cross flow are observed in different flow rates. In wettability contrast model because of capillary force, boundary effects cause leaving of isolated fluid patches within the quadrant. So, changing wettability and capillary pressure between blocks alter displacement pattern.
